“Art in Public Spheres”, also referred to as “The Nutshell Definition Project” began with a chain-letter asking random participants to submit a brief explanation (Nutshell Definition) to the question, “what is art?”
Based on the responses received, the project combines aspects of recycling, appropriation, transformation, continuation and momentum all under one canopy, analysing the question “what is art” as a statement rather than a question. This project also mirrors the floating uses of language and definitions, which is such an important part of how we think and act.
